This painting is a direct copy from this photograph by Julia Trotti. I looked on the artist’s site and found that she had also copied other photos of Julia’s with no credit given as to the source of the images. This angers me quite a lot. It’s one thing to use another artist’s work as a reference point and another thing entirely to copy someone’s original imagery without a word of credit or recognition. 

I am acquainted with this particular photographer and will contact her and ask if by some chance this artist had permission to work from her photos in such a direct fashion.
